Phase • Formation Move • Exit Point Exit PointAll structures which can produce, repair, heal, or rearm units store an invisible rally point. This is the location where all units move to after they are created or serviced at that building. When such a building does not have a rally point specifically defined, the default exit point is usually right along the bottom edge of the structure. You can set the rally point of your buildings by selecting a building and then clicking “Set Rally Point” on the Special Menu and targeting the desired location. You can also press the Home key with a structure selected to bring up the target cursor. It’s a good idea to set up the exit points of all of your buildings to strategic locations so that you can quickly gather your troops for attack and defense. Effective rally points place your offensive units in a good position to launch an attack, and defensive units where they are most needed to fight off attackers. Rally points also help you to quickly find units that have gone back for servicing. You can set a rally point on a structure that is presently under construction, so there is no need to wait for it to be completed. |
