Independence
Independence affects how a unit will target enemies that it sees, as well as whether it will stop its current action in order to attack a new threat. This also effects how units that can heal or boost allies (such as the Medic and Amper) select targets.
| HIGH | The unit will acquire new targets as necessary. If it is walking to a destination and comes across an enemy it can attack (or an ally to heal), it will typically stop to shoot at this new target, and may even forget what it was previously doing. |
| MED | If the unit is moving or performing some other action and comes across an enemy, it will fire at the enemy if it can do so without diverting from its path. This works best for units with turrets that can fire while on the move. |
| LOW | The unit will not acquire targets on its own, and must be manually directed to fire at things. The unit may, however, retaliate against an enemy that shoots at it first, unless its Pursuit Range is also LOW. |
