The Orders Menu is where you control how your units behave on the field. There are two tabs; the basic tab merely hides some of the options. You must have at least one unit selected to use these buttons. Automatic Movement OrdersThese buttons send your unit moving across the map automatically, without further input needed. They will continue with these orders until they are killed or you issue them a new command. Notice that you cannot assign unit behavior settings (below) to units who are operating under one of these commands. To cancel an automatic movement order, either issue a new order, or just click the button for the current command a second time (which will remove the green LED highlight). Unit Behavior PresetsThese presets allow you to quickly configure the unit behaviors, below, with the touch of a button.
Unit Behavior SettingsThese settings govern how units respond to threats, as detailed in each individual section. The settings are arranged in a grid that can be modified by either clicking the LOW, MED, and HIGH buttons, or alternately, you can use the NumPad keys to assign them quickly. (They are mapped to the NumPad keys in exactly the same layout and order: NumPad 7 sets Pursuit Range to LOW, for example.) You don’t even need to have the Orders Menu visible for these keyboard shortcuts to work. |
