Cheap and quick to produce, basic infantry are oftentimes overlooked but can be churned out quickly and massed in no time to counter sudden threats.

Combat

Raiders and Guardians are your most basic combat units. Relatively weak but cheap and quick to build, they are useful in early game operations. Because of their cost and build speed, it is relatively easy to amass a large army of them in a short amount of time.

Raiders and Guardians are armed with laser rifles which deal decent damage to infantry but peck away weakly against vehicles. If you are facing a lot of tanks, the Mercenary or Exterminator would be a better choice in infantry.

The Raider also possesses the ability to phase once the player possesses a Phasing Facility.
