Harassing EnemiesGiven their ridiculous speed, Spider Bikes are useful for reconnaissance and harassing the enemy with hit-and-run attacks. They can be there and gone again before the enemy knows what hit them. They can also stand toe-to-toe against foes, but their defense isn’t that great, so where possible, it’s better to take advantage of their speed to zip them out of danger. Aside from their sheer speed, Spider Bikes also benefit from being a specialized wheeled vehicle. They can navigate slopes better than a standard wheeled vehicle, which means they can travel to places where other types of vehicles cannot. Spider Bikes are equipped with twin cannons of the same type that Mercenaries use. As such, they are effective against both vehicles and infantry. They don’t have great armor, but many types of infantry do not do full damage against vehicle plating, which affords them some measure of protection. Being early-game vehicles, Spider Bikes won’t stand up very well against some of the late-game tanks. However, they still retain their advantage of speed, and they can still hit-and-run fairly effectively. |
